Volunteer Positions
Local Coordinator
  • Earn up to $1300 for each student you place with a host family and support during their stay in the U.S.
  • Contribute to international exchange by recruiting host families and supporting students.
  • Help shape the futures of students from around the world as a YFU Local Coordinator.

  • Plan social and enrichment activities for international students.
  • Activities aim to help students extend their social networks and create a local community.

  • Plan activities throughout the placement year (August-June).

  • Craft engaging biographies using student applications to introduce them to potential host families

  • Write 2-5 student profiles weekly, depending on availability as a volunteer

Orientation Coordinator & Facilitator
  • Organize and coordinate YFU orientation sessions
  • Recruit facilitators and ensure smooth operations
  • Help students and families prepare for their exchange experience

  • Build relationships with local schools
  • Promote YFU programs through engaging presentations
  • Work closely with our Community Managers to expand our reach

  • Work with the Community Manager to identify local events for YFU presentations
  • Present YFU’s mission at school board meetings, classrooms, PTA meetings, club meetings, etc
