A Taste of Ecuador
Departure: Mid-February 2025
Join us for an unforgettable YFU experience tailored for staff, volunteers, and alumni eager to explore Ecuador over two weeks. Immerse yourself in the rich cultural tapestry and natural beauty your students encounter during their exchange. Start your journey in Quito with a visit to the YFU-Ecuador office, a city tour, and a trip to the Equator. Venture north to engage with native traditions and meet YFU students, then head south to marvel at the majestic peaks of Cotopaxi and Chimborazo and experience the Amazon’s unique biodiversity. Highlights include the vibrant Otavalo handicraft market, the awe-inspiring Condor Park, and the bustling town of Baños.
Extend your stay with an optional excursion to the enchanting Galapagos Islands. This is your chance to taste Ecuador’s culture, landscapes, wildlife, and cuisine—truly the adventure of a lifetime!
Discover Mongolia
Departure: June 2025
Experience the heart and soul of Mongolia with YFU’s immersive two-week homestay program. Spend your first week living with a nomadic host family, discovering the traditions and lifestyle of the Mongolian steppe. In the second week, transition to the vibrant city of Ulaanbaatar, staying with a local family and exploring the dynamic urban culture.
Your days will be filled with captivating sightseeing and educational expeditions organized by YFU to deepen your understanding of Mongolia’s rich heritage. Dedicated YFU Mongolia volunteers and staff will accompany you throughout the program, ensuring a seamless and enriching experience.
