YFU USA Formal Ceremony in Iowa on April 7th, 2011
Des Moines, IA: YFU USA Heartland District Director Ganesh Ganpat, District Office staff members, host families and an exchange student attended a formal signing ceremony on April 7th, 2011 in Des Moines, Iowa in recognition of YFU USA’s 60th Anniversary. YFU USA has been a leader in international student exchange, facilitating 250,000 exchanges among 60 nations.
The formal signing ceremony is part of an outreach program with the objective of reaching out to every governor in support of YFU’s 60th anniversary. With more than 12,000 volunteers, more than 2,000 exchanges each year, and the support from staff across the nation, YFU remains successful in preparing young people for their responsibilities and opportunities in a changing, interdependent world.
YFU USA’s 60th Anniversary is taking place on Founder’s Day, April 8th, 2011. The formal signing ceremony took place at Iowa’s Statehouse on April 7th,. For more information regarding the formal signing ceremony, please contact the Heartland District at 515-276-6301.
