Choose a program and country, and decide whether you will apply for a scholarship. Register above to create a YFU account, where you can save and access your application at any time. After submitting your application a YFU representative will contact you for an in-person interview. YFU Admissions Staff are available to discuss your options and work with you to choose a program where you will discover something new about culture, language, art, music, literature, religion, politics – and, most importantly, yourself.

We look forward to helping you welcome a YFU student. It’s an educational experience that will benefit your family long after your exchange son or daughter returns home! We recommend allowing up to one hour to complete your Host Family Application. It will take even less time if you have the complete contact information for your references on hand. Ultimately, if you welcome an exchange student home this login will also give you access to your YFU Hosting Account.

If you enjoy working with young people and families and want to make a difference in your community and the world, apply to volunteer with YFU. We welcome people of all backgrounds to work with us. YFU provides the tools and training; you provide the time, commitment and compassion. Allow approximately twenty minutes to complete your Volunteer Application, and be sure to tell us about your skills and areas of interest. It will take even less time if you have the complete contact information for your references on hand.
