Kiwanis' Key Leader

YFU USA is pleased to present a local, weekend opportunity to our students in partnership with Kiwanis International’s Key Leader Program.  We encourage you to read the information below and check out Kiwanis International’s website  for dates and locations if you are interested in attending.

Kiwanis’ Key Leader Program is an experiential leadership development program centered in concepts of service leadership-integrity, respect, growth, community, and excellence.  The mission of Key Leader is to inspire young people to achieve their personal best through service leadership.  The workshop is taught by a trained professional lead facilitator who has solid experience leading young people and has been trained in this curriculum.  Adult volunteers and high school students who have graduated from the program assist in the program delivery and logistics.

Weekend events throughout North America are open to all high school students, whether they are a member of Kiwanis club or not. Multiple students from the same school--those who are already student leaders and those with leadership potential--are encouraged to attend to increase the impact of the program back in their community.  International events have been held in Malaysia, Brazil, Cayman Islands and at the YMCA World Camp in Hawaii, where students from 15 nations participated.

Full details on Kiwanis Key Leader Program, including registration for current events and upcoming dates, can be found at www.key-leader.org.   Program registration is US$175 for the weekend and is all-inclusive.  If you have any questions regarding the Key Leader Program, please call Kiwanis at 1.800.KIWANIS (upon connection, dial 1 and then 411#).
