ROLE

Based on the mission and goals set by Youth For Understanding USA, the Support Services Manager (SSM) provides support, training and guidance to students, hosts, schools and volunteers. This position reports to the District Director.

ROLE:
This position provides field services and support for six various YES scholarship winners assigned to a field.  From the date of hire until the placement completion date in July the Field Placement Specialist works in coordination with the Field Director to recruit host families and identify schools in which the YES grant students will spend the 2012 – 2013 school year. The specialist will provide assistance to the Field Director to deliver required pre-arrival orientation program to host families selected to host the  YES students “clustered” in the field to ensure that their adjustment to American family life and assimilation to their high school and community go smoothly.

ROLE:
This office-based position assists the Field Director with identifying and recruiting host families. In addition the recruitment coordinator does other special projects as assigned as a liaison with the national Marketing office, with a primary focus on recruitment of new members of YFU communities - host families, American Overseas (AO) students and volunteers.

ROLE:

Youth for Understanding (YFU) is a leader in the field of international student exchange with sixty years experience in inbound and outbound programming.  The International Student Exchange Placement Interns will assist YFU USA fields in the International Student (IS) placement effort.  Interns may also help organize the pre-departure orientations for American Overseas (AO) students and the re-entry/post-arrival orientations for international students.

ROLE: 

Based on YFU’s mission and goals, the Admissions Counselor coordinates the enrollment process for the students and supports the students interested in the YFU programs, including scholarships.  This position acts as liaison with district U.S. offices and international offices involving issues regarding student enrollment, program specifications, and operational matters.  This position is responsible for the continuous and on-going ‘sale’ of the YFU USA programs and 'product'.    In addition, the incumbent will provide support such as keying in data for in- and outbound students and following up with student enrollment applications.

ROLE
This position manages the overall success for recruitment and training of host families, volunteers, American Overseas Students, schools and community partners in an assigned geographic field, ensuring that the YFU program activities are carried out in accordance with YFU and US State Department policies and procedures.

Reporting to the Field Director are the volunteers who assist the Field Director with recruitment of all program participants and program delivery. Volunteers receive guidance from the Field Director who creates and implements a marketing and recruitment plan to promote the YFU program, as well as assignments to conduct host family, volunteer and student interviews, student and family orientations and cultural events, volunteer trainings, compliance reporting and emergency student support in a timely manner.
